Our History
The Southwest Figure Skating Club was founded in 1996. Our club is home to skaters of all ages and skill levels - from those just starting to explore the world of figure skating to seasoned competitors, and every level in between. Being a member of the Southwest Figure Skating Club enables a skater to utilize more ice time and pursue additional instruction from a private instructor. Members participate in the annual ice show and have the option to become members of US Figure Skating (USFSA) to compete in local competitions and take tests under the US Figure Skating Curriculum. The club has been under the direction of Jodi Schreurs since 2005; Andrea Sattler was the Director from 1997-to 2005. Annual show performance is presented each year in March. In 2022, the Southwest Figure Skating Club celebrated 25 years!!
