Skatesafe

The Southwest Figure Skating Club is committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone, free from any form of misconduct or harassment. We take a strong stand against any type of harmful behavior and do not tolerate it. To ensure a safe experience for all, we follow the U.S. Figure Skating SkateSafe® Program, which addresses:

  • Sexual misconduct
  • Physical misconduct
  • Emotional misconduct
  • Bullying, threats, and harassment
  • Hazing
  • Ignoring misconduct

How to Report Misconduct:

We encourage everyone, regardless of U.S. Figure Skating membership, to report any suspected violations of the SkateSafe® guidelines. U.S. Figure Skating adult participants are required to report suspected child abuse or sexual misconduct to the U.S. Center for SafeSport and local law enforcement. There are no charges for filing a report with either U.S. Figure Skating or the U.S. Center for SafeSport.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is responsible for investigating and resolving allegations related to Sexual Misconduct under the SafeSport Code.

To report sexual misconduct, please contact the U.S. Center for SafeSport.

For any questions about the SkateSafe® Program, feel free to reach out to us at SkateSafe@usfigureskating.org or call 719-635-5200, Option 6.
